Electronic Audit Training Programs
Duration: 1 Day
Participants: This training is designed for Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), Sworn-in Certified Public Accountants (SCPAs), Independent External Auditors, Internal Auditors, Accounting Auditors, accounting department employees, and those interested in Excel who wish to improve themselves. It is an important computer-aided accounting audit training program.
Scope of the Training: Preparing unstructured raw data obtained from databases for audit purposes in Excel (meaningfully separating data contained in a single column, distributing key data meaningfully across other rows, effectively using Excel by applying the Paste Special function after formulas prepared at certain stages, converting text fragments into properly formatted numbers or dates, examining the features of “.txt” and “.csv” files and transferring them to Excel, creating named ranges to use formulas more easily in complex tables and making them dynamic to enable analysis with dynamic charts).
Basic Excel practices to be used in audit activities (enabling easy analysis by consolidating offsetting accounts in journal entries into a single row, identifying duplicate records and missing journal entries in statutory books, combining columns, using essential audit functions such as Merge, Vertical Lookup (VLOOKUP), Lookup, Index, and Subtotal, auditing related parties in vendor and customer accounts, transfer pricing controls, identifying records with high standard deviation, preparing trial balances, inventory count calculations, net-to-gross wage and income tax calculations, goal seek for net-to-gross wage calculations, calculating the number of days, months, and years between two dates, reconciling business records with bank statements, preparing summary sales figures tables, aggregating wage data according to multiple criteria, creating pivot tables using PivotTable functionality, analyzing sales figures through conditional formatting, comparing book and physical inventory results).
Preparing financial statements for analysis in Excel (comparative financial statement analysis, trend percentage analysis, vertical analysis, liquidity ratios, financial structure ratios, asset utilization ratios, profitability ratios, and analysis using mini charts).
Preparing advanced Excel applications specific to auditing (Benford’s Law, Monte Carlo Simulation, efficiency analysis using linear programming (using Solver add-in), forecasting with linear regression, creating multiple goal-seek models with macros for net-to-gross wage calculation, requesting information from multiple individuals or institutions at once via email).
TAX AUDIT PROCESSES FOR MANAGERS
Tax Audit Process Management
Duration: 4 Hours
Participants: Managers and assistant managers of finance departments
Scope of the Training: With the increasing need for public resources, the psychological pressure that the tax administration aims to impose on taxpayers through audits, the growth of companies’ business volumes, the development of business processes, and the increasing complexity of transactions, tax audits have become increasingly important. Tax and tax audits are now among the agenda items of company boards of directors. In this context, the administration conducts more effective and planned tax audits, and the financial and perceptual impacts of audits on companies are felt more clearly.
Therefore, for every finance manager, having a better understanding of tax audit processes enables more effective participation in the process and allows audits to be managed in a more planned and sound manner, producing significant outcomes.
Purpose of the Training: Our training is designed to enable finance managers to approach tax audit processes from a holistic perspective and clearly identify post-audit options, as well as to provide them with a broad vision to evaluate issues ranging from routine communication with the administration to inspection-related correspondence such as information requests and on-site inspections.
